 MISC - Warning to Sellers -How scammers operate
- Warning to all Sellers - if you post something for sale on QTH.com, you will likely be contacted by email by someone offering to purchase this item. He will not give any callsign or offer one if requested. He will say he will send you a cashier's check, pay additional for shipping, or arrange for someone to pick up the item at your residence. This is all a scam and how these crooks operate. The cashier's check will be counterfeit, and if you deposit it, it will bounce and you'll get charged a bad check fee by your bank. If you ship the item, it's gone and you will be SOL - no rig and no money. Just got such a reply and I knew it was a scam as he refused to give me a callsign despite my request for one.

Most of us need a variety of coax "Jumpers"
around the shack to connect our rig to antenna
tuners, amplifiers, coax antenna switches, etc.
These jumpers are useful for that purpose.

NEW Cable Experts CXP008C3, 3 foot, RG-8.
Silver, teflon, PL-259 connectors on both ends.
They sell it for $19; get this one for $12.

I have an extensive number of jumpers in the range
of 1 to 2 foot length. These are all 50 ohm coax,
and may be the large (approximate 0.40 inch)
RG-8 or equivalent, or RG-58 (under 1/4 inch). All
have a PL-259 connector on both ends.

They have all been tested.
Please let me know approximate length you
would like, and whether RG-8, or RG-58.

These jumpers are available for $8 each for
1 to 2 foot, and $10 for 3 feet, plus shipping.

Blitz Bug" Lightning Protector For Sale:

I am fairly certain this is a Cushcraft LAC-1.
There are no markings on it to confirm the model
number, but it looks like the Cushcraft "Blitz Bug".

It is used in your coax transmission line to protect
against lightning and drain off static crashes.
Of course it will not protect against a direct hit,
but it will help in most cases.

It has an SO-239 on one end and a PL-259 on the
other end (female UHF on one end and male on the other).
