- This is a legendary Alpha 6 legal limit VHF amplifier for the 6m band in immaculate condition. There are less than 20 hours of transmit time on it.
These units are so rare there are Alpha enthusiasts that don’t even believe they exist. A total of 11 were made (and only by special pre-order) and a 12th was left unfinished on a shelf in their warehouse.
This is an all mode legal limit amplifier, designed for continuous key-down use at 1500W, with peaks in excess of 2kW on SSB.

It’s autotune/autotrack, so as you change frequencies, it tunes as you go. And it’s continuous, so it works as well on MARS bands as it does on ham bands. It also comes with a keypad, so you can punch in your frequency manually if you’re using an older radio.
It doesn’t need any kind of counterpoise. And it’s portable. If you’re an apartment dweller and have a balcony, it’s a complete game changer.
