| Heading: | What is this added circuit to a SX-110? |
| Ad Message: | I am restoring a 1960's Hallicrafters SX-110. A nine pin socket with a 3223 tube was added March 14, 1962(written on chassis). One pin is connected to the Audio Output tube screen grid. Another pin is connected to the cathode of the 2nd IF tube. Only info I can find online is the 3223 is a more rugged verison of the 12AX7 however the pins must be incorrectly wired if both tubes have the same pin outs. A chassis mount photo connector was installed with a large silver capacitor connected to the tube. Can anyone help IDing this change for me? K6NPA |
