King Kobbler & Johnson Ranger Video: Here we go again! Someone decided they were smarter than the Johnson company engineers. Transmitter was shipped to my shop for de-kobbling. This ones going to be a challenge. Lots of mods, clutter. This transmitter has made its rounds to a few shops. The Kob Job was a bit much for them to deal with. So, it finally ended up here. A real shame seeing what becomes of these fine transmitters in the wrong hands. I spent a week with it, returning the transmitter to the print. Unfortunately its cosmetic condition is pretty poor. So, the repair cost exceeded its value. I keep wondering why. However, these radios have been out there for over 60 years, allowing time for Kobblers to make improvements! OKC Autopatch Association Sept Meeting: The September Oklahoma City Autopatch Association (OCAPA) meeting will be on Saturday, 21 September, 10:00 AM (or when VE testing is complete) at Wickline United Methodist Church in Midwest City. The meeting will be in the "Parlor"; the room we used in August.
There will be an informal 'breakfast bunch' open to all on Saturday, 21 September, at 7:30 AM prior to the OCAPA VE test session. We'll meet at Madison's Kitchen in Del City. Madison's Kitchen is on north side of SE 29th just west of Linda Lane at 4747 SE 29th, Del City.

As mentioned, we will be in the "Parlor" again. There is an all day volleyball tournament (again) in the Family Life Center.
If you arrive during VE testing, please wait in the "Gathering Area" till testing is concluded.

Beginners Morse Code Course: The K6RAU beginners code course for those not knowing a dit from a dah is available at the following url link:
