Tech Special 2 Meter and 6 Meter Amps: I have 3 solid state amps that need repair.
I'm interested in repairing myself if you're willing to talk me through the process.

1. RF Power Labs 400 watt 6m amp. Was working fine, now no amplification. Don't know of anything done to damage it.
I hear relay click but no increase in power output.

2. TE Systems 1452G 350 watt 2 meter amplifier. This was briefly (a couple of seconds) transmitted with NO antenna connected. It since draws current and heats up if connected to DC power source.

3. RF Concepts 2-417 45in 170out 2 meter amplifier.
Power LED turns on but otherwise there is no indication it's actually turned on. No relay click or anything. Just the same as if it's off. Power out is the same whether amp is on or off so thinking it's lacking something in the power on side of the circuit? FOR SALE: W6PO 2 meter amp: This is a well built W6PO designed amplifier employing "plumber's delight" tubing for the resonator tubes. A turns counter operates the Plate cap. The load cap is adjusted from the rear panel. Adjustable input matching provides for fine tuning of the input SWR. An Omron Technologies Time Delay Relay provides proper warmup for the 8877 (3CX1500A7) tube. The RF deck is mounted in a rack mount case that sits atop a custom built roll around cabinet. The high voltage transformer and filter caps are mounted in a separate housing sitting inside the cabinet. High voltage is manually controlled by a Variac. The amplifier is wired for 240 AC voltage. Driving the amp with 35 watts easily produces a 1KW signal. 45 - 50 watts brings it to full legal limit. Asking price for this amplifier is $1100.00.
